Nov 5-6 (Sat-Sun) 9th Annual Back Pack Seminar at Nesika

We are excited to put on the 9th annual backpack seminar at Nesika Lodge in the Gorge where we'll hear exciting presentations from world class backpackers, see the latest lightweight gear and make new friends with other backpackers! There will be great food and door prizes too!
Currently we have our first speaker. Her name is Michael Karitis. She will put on a presentation of a hike she did in Mongolia. Whitney LaRuffa has just finished the CDT and will be doing a presentation on his experiences and share with us gear he felt was important to make his hike successful. I am still working on the Survivalist Show speaker. I should hear from her on Monday or Tuesday. I have ordered material to make some rain skirts for raffles. I used one this summer and really enjoyed it. Great for sitting on wet surfaces, warming lower body, fits in pocket. I have placed some loops on the belt so it can be attached to tent to extent vestibule.
I am still waiting to hear back from Six Moons Design. He usually comes and sets up tents and gives away a backpack.
This is an overnight event. Be sure to bring a sleeping bag, overnight essentials and a change of clothes. The seminar will begin at 10:00 on Saturday morning and wrap up around noon on Sunday.
Meet: To hike in, meet 8:00 AM at Multnomah Falls lodge.
To drive in, meet at the upper gate 9:00 AM sharp Saturday. Exit times will be Saturday evening and 1:00 PM Sunday.
Register: Through TCO Meetup site Click here
Please register early. The cost is $50.00 for the weekend. Please pay on Pay Pal through Meetup.
