Feb 22 (Sat) Bridal Veil Plateau hike - Class B+

This hike will follow a series of old logging roads and rail beds on the Bridal Veil plateau and will involve a little offtrail bushwhacking and a little exploring. Mostly we will be following unmarked trails I know well and have mapped. These paths are left from the days when there was a huge timber mill in Bridal Veil and another in the ghost town of Palmer. These woods were once home to dozens of lumberjacks. Trains and teams of oxen hauled out the huge firs. I'll share a little about the history as we hike. Distance: Around 8-9 miles Gain: Around 1000 feet
This will be an all-day hike and we may not get back until around 5 pm. You should be comfortable with a little off-trail travel and bushwhacking.
Details are on Meetup (click here).
